Urinary Problems More Condition_symptoms What Food Should I Use For Urinary Problems For A Male Cat?

What food should I use for urinary problems for a male cat? - urinary problems more condition_symptoms

Lionel My cat is ten years old and still active. However, he was fighting chronic urinary tract infections. I have recently taken to the vet and they gave me a cat food (Prescription Diet C / D), is to Lionel for the rest of his life to eat. (There is poor) to magnesium.

My problem is that the food is very expensive and I have to go to the vet every time to get it.

Is there any other kind of dry food is available? I heard that Nutro is a good brand. I would also like suggestions for alternatives in addition to the dry food.

I asked my vet these questions, but I want a 2nd (and 3, 4, etc.) the views of Yahoo Answers.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the world of the urinary problems in cats. My cat was just a stone's throw from the size of a cent, so I know what happens .... I hope so. In any case, my doctor gave me c / d for him but also said that since it sooooo expensive that could give Purina urinary tract health for him and it would be nice. I hope that answers your question, but I know for sure. As with other types of hope for your reply to read and see what happens.

In what country are you? either Canada - Nutram is best - with less magnesium ...

PRECRIPTION Hills Diet is a fraud - more than one price - poor quality ..
For the supply of food for animals to save labels and compare ..

Nutro is not much better .. only slightly less expensive --
Lu Hills veterinarian for approval ..

in canned 1 teaspoon twice daily mixed with water to increase the consumption of a soup of water will also help ... (not canned fish - fish is bad for cats with UTI)

Yes indeedy!

Scrap that too expensive, low quality of food limitation. Technically speaking, it can work, but it is a good quality food and I never think, without thinking long term.

Probably everything you need to do is feed them canned. Well preserved, not the things we buy in the supermarket. Although some raw food may be more expensive than supermarket brands that no fixed rule. Even if you choose to sell in a chain store, you may be able to get a small discount thingy. And if you buy in bulk, which can help you.

It will be cheaper than the SD card.

Find out which feed connection. You can check with their site and where to find them for sale in your area.

Below is my blog:
This is not my specialty, but that is my experience as a young kitten, Poppy developed both a weight problem and a urinary tract infection. My vet told me to go with the entry of the special meal, the happy, sold me * gulp *. Poppy refused to eat him. At that time I was less clear is how cats to eat new food, so getjust say the hell with it and bought Purina Mixed Food Health urine, with weight control. She ate that from then on it until 2 years. Never had another UTI, so I said that more CRAP sold veterinarians in general, are useless. The trash can of food is so good.

For various reasons, which shortly thereafter began researching cat nutrition. I learned about the benefits of wet food, and found that in many cases all that is necessary to prevent future urinary tract infections. Even brands like Friskies would shit better than dry food!

I do not claim, a veterinarian, veterinary technician, veterinary student or something. But I know how to do research and results. I read a little on this subject, which, as I do on the conclusions that I came.

At least if I am another cat with urinary problems, I'd rather test them) in a good quality canned food before the attack on the mass of the chemical recipe for a food (or canned varieties. Because I think they will

It is my opinion on the experience and research, forage is the worst meal you can develop a cat with a penchant for urinary problems feeding.

The best food for your cat is wet, canned food.

I am currently promoting 3 cats, all brothers and sisters. When Bobby, the gray tuxedo cat, was brought to me said that I would form crystals in urine, and therefore did not eat that Hills c / d kibble.

Bobby developed horrible diarrhea and gas as a result. He refused to eat, moisture, canned C / D, so that despite extensive research on the Internet, I decided to remove the dry food and feed him only canned food tins.

In two days I had no gas and diarrhea after changing your diet.

We all have confidence and faith in our vets, but they do not know everything! And sometimes, he thinks is wrong!

When I feed all 3 of my cats developed fodder, all the crystals in the urine. After the withdrawal of the feeding of dry food, the crystals have disappeared. I have fedCanned food there and the boys have had no problems from the urinary tract.

I also give my cat the same food recipe that you make. I know it's a bit expensive and a pain to go to the vet every time. What I meant was that I changed the cat litter with shredded newspaper in her litter. The dust from the litter contributes to urinary problems. You have to waste at least once every two days, but no more dust or cat litter through the soil.
