I was born in Paris and still live here .. it's just great!
Roads, buildings, monuments, museums and all .. Paris is very special:)
The French (and Paris) is a way of living: the food is good, the weather is pleasant, the scenery is beautiful and the Parisians are nice too (I do not think that what people say ..^^)
You should read written pound by the Parisians and people of French, I believe they can accurately than the books of tourists ..
But if you live in London, just take the train and spend a weekend in Paris, you feel as if he is not happy :):):)
Welcome .. Paris:)

I like this one:

Living and Working in France: A Survival Guide
by David Hampshire.

It contains a wealth of practical information to help you settle in France.
